AIB roast pulled down from Youtube

According to a DNA report, post the probe ordered by the government and Maharashtra CM's interest in the issue, the AIB has pulled down videos of their controversial roast from Youtube. Informing followers about the same, the All India Bakchod Team tweeted, "Have taken down AIB Knockout for now. We will speak soon."

The show, that was held in a Mumbai stadium, was edited and uploaded on Youtube as a 3-part series. The videos that were uploaded on January 28, went viral soon after. Given the nature of its content and AIB's popularity with the youth, the videos were being shared and discussed on social media

However, the AIB roast video, featuring Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor with Karan Johar as Roast master ran into trouble when several organisations filed FIR against the alleged obscene nature of the content. According to the written complaint by Akhilesh Tiwari, president of Brahman Ekta Seva Sanstha in Mumbai, filed at Sakinaka police station on Monday, the trio, along with other performers, had allegedly passed abusive and offensive remarks against one another and at the audience present there. Following the complaints, the police have started investigating the case.

Maharashtra government on Monday ordered an inquiry into a comedy show held here even as police launched a probe following a complaint against filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, among others, for allegedly using "filthy and abusive language" during the event.

Things took an ugly turn when Censor Board member, Ashoke Pandit tweeted, "Karan Johar could have easily shown his position while performing sex to his mom at home instead of making it public. #AIB Porn Show."

But the final nail in the coffin for AIB may have been the comment made by Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis. Maharashtra Chief Minister commented upon this incident. "If the AIB roast was vulgar and not in accordance with the law, then we will act," he had stated.

According to an IANS report, MNS Chitrapat Sena chief Ameya Khopkar has also said that Bollywood filmmaker, Karan Johar and actors, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh need to apologise for being a part of the contentious roast.
